Uphill Day Pass
Ready to earn your turns? Saddleback has been an uphill touring or "skinning" destination for many years. Take a tour of the mountain via our dedicated uphill travel route that follows the outskirts of the Hudson Highway slope and ascends to the top of America. This path is outlined in yellow on the 23/24 Trail Map. The uphill trail ends at America. Patrol reserves the right to close the uphill trail and summit access when surface conditions and visibility are not conducive to safe travel.
|All uphill travelers agree to abide by Saddleback's Uphill Policy & Code of Conduct. BEFORE going uphill all guests must read this policy and understand the following rules:
- You are required to have an uphill ticket and sign our uphill policy waiver. If you have a season pass, be sure to have that on you for your uphill travel.
- Uphill travel is open to guests with a season pass, lift ticket or uphill day pass 1 hour before lifts open and until 4:30 p.m. while Saddleback is running under 2023 Spring Hours. Do not skin up outside of these hours.
- Please descend on open terrain only. Be aware of snowmaking and grooming operations and equipment and stay well out of the way.
- If outside of these hours, Saddleback does not guarantee that on-mountain rescue services are available.
- All uphill travel is done at the individual’s own risk. Please refer to the Mountain Report and uphill travel board at the base of the trail for daily updates pertaining to route changes or closures.
